Richardson The funeral for Clyde Abner Richardson, 87, of 848 Airport Road, Spencer, who died Saturday, May 3, 1997, at his home, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKee Funeral Chapel. 14, 1909, in Roanoke, a son of the late Horatio Abner Richardson and the late Eula Jane Stultz Richardson. He was a graduate of Martinsville High School and the Milwaukee School of engineering, and served in the U.S. Naval Air Force: during World War II. Richardson managed the Ridge Airport for 12. years, and for-.

merly was associated with Richardson Electric Co. and Clyde's Television Repair service. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 year Annie Holt -Richardson; his second wife, Ora Mae Richardson: and two brothers, Harry M. Richardson and Walter Richardson. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Jane Dean of Gold River, Patricia R.

Compton of Wilton, and Margaret Holt -Dyer of Childersburg, two sons, Robert Franklin Richardson of Williamsburg and Clyde Richardson of Martinsville; 11 grandchildren, and 15 greatgrandchildren. He received a degree in engineering from Virginia Tech, served in the Navy during World War II, and was employed at Bassett Furniture Industries from 1952 until 1992. He was a former member of the board of directors of the Bassett, First Bassett Bank and Trust and Dominion Bank in Bassett. Brammer was a member of the Blue Ridge Airport Authority for 20 years, serving as corporate officer, and was president of the Blue Ridge Pilots Association for 15 years.

He was a 50-year member of the Bassett American Legion, was a member of the Patrick Henry Allied Families, the First Flight Society, Quiet Birdman and several other aviation societies. Surviving are his wife, Mary Beasley Brammer of the home: one daughter, Jane Douglas Brammer of Seattle, two sons, Aaron Nolen Brammer of Raleigh, N.C., and William Robert Brammer of Fredericksburg; one sister, Lucy Lee Harder of Bassett; and three grandchildren.
