The school spends more money on marketing and keeping their facilities flawless, than they do on quality lecture materials. Most of the lectures for core subjects are outdated and very few instructors put effort into providing quality resources. There is no one to evaluate exams based on the lecture materials provided, so the teachers can do whatever they want. The program is unnecessarily overwhelming and leaves no room for work life balance. The entire curriculum is designed to prepare you for milestone exams, and there are so many other things worth learning. In addition to a full course load, students are still expected on be on clinic shifts during 3rd year. Most students cope with unmet expectations for the sake of finishing the program. After graduation, most students choose to further their education. I would recommend thoroughly evaluating their success rates and background of instructors. The few good things are the regenerative medicine and community medicine honors track.

When focusing solely on academic there are only very few professors that do their job and do it well. However, when the students ask for reasonable requests or ways to improve their foundations in the classes, we are met with far more resistance than you'd except. Our biochemistry professor is also a department chair, and in spite every milestone test showing biochem as the lowest area, there is no desire to change anything surrounding the professor and the class. One of the general medicine professors is very good at teaching us in class, but her tests are statically invalid and unreliable. When the class average is always failing and she prides herself on this, it lets students know that her goal in teaching is not to actually adequately prepare us or encourage us to be solid students. A lot of the classes as you progress do not do a good enough job at keeping updated information on the curriculum and in clinic many students do not get beneficial education or experience.

I understand schools are a business but most everyone that works on the board at this school show no true commitment to this school. We are encouraged to share our thoughts and what we would like to be changed (more standing desks, better campus cafe, a non hallway white coat ceremony, reasonable things.) Yet there is always a reason why nothing can be done. There is little grace when life happens outside the school. There is no improvement to student lounge or seating for those working in the clinic. Models are expensive so we understand that has to come when budget allows, but there appears to be no honest intention of replacing those. There is mold in one of our buildings that causes many students to feel ill after prolong time in the facility, yet only fans for the carpet are seen as a responsible attempt. The money us students put into this school does not seem to be actually going to this school and getting denied to see an expense chart for my tuition validates this concern.
